  • First Aid Kit: Cabinet to left of refrigerator
  • Fire Extinguisher: under kitchen sink
  • Local Emergency Contacts: left side of the refrigerator
  • Laundry : The laundry room is located in the exterior building by the road marked with a sign. The key should be on the kitchen island along with laundry pods.
  • WiFi: Wi-Fi information can be found on the posters above the kitchen island and at the top of the stairs. Wi-Fi is provided but not guaranteed. We utilize a satellite that can drop out at times. Typically, it is fast enough to stream on a couple of TVs at a time. Netflix is the best for streaming.
  • Grilling: We provide an outdoor grilling area on the back patio. It features a large charcoal grill. We provide firestarters, an ash bucket, a starter barrel, and grilling utensils. You will need to purchase your own charcoal. See grilling tips below.
  • TV Streaming: This home features four TVs. Each TV has instructions on how to cast your device to watch your own streaming services. Feel free to login to apps on TVs if you have them.
  • Trash: Trash bags can be thrown into the blue trash bin by the road. Trash pickup is on Thursday.
  • Bugs: We do treat this home for pests frequently, but it is still a lakeside property, which naturally brings bugs and pests around. We recommend keeping doors closed, and not removing screens from windows. Bug spray is provided under the kitchen sink.
  • Lanai (Screened in Patio): If food or non-water drinks are spilled, please clean up as best as possible to prevent ants from gathering.
  • Open Windows and Doors: Our windows have screens, allowing them to be open and bug-free. However, this will offset what the HVAC system is providing to the home, leading to poor performance. We recommend leaving doors and windows closed during the summer and winter seasons.

Lake and Dock

  • Water Depth: The water depth averages 8′ to 10′ off the end of the dock. (This is not guaranteed as water levels change.)
  • Life Jackets: Adult and child life jackets can be found hanging under the carport. Please use them when on kayaks or with children who can’t swim well. There is a LIFESAVER RING in the deck box that can be thrown into water if help is needed.
  • Dock: Water shoes are recommended for the dock, as it gets hot in the summer. Life jackets should be worn by anyone who is kayaking. Small children should wear life jackets at all times near the waterfront and dock areas. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK on the dock and in the lake. Please watch children around seawall as there is no fence and shallow water with rocks.
  • Water Quality: The water stays swimmable most of the year. Occasionally, washup from the river will come through, but it typically moves on within a couple of hours.

GRILL

  • DUMP COLD ASHES IN BLACK ASH PALE
  • SPRAY GRILL GRATES WITH CLEANER SPRAY
1. Light a single fire starter at the bottom of the Charcoal Chimney.
2. Add Charcoal to the chimney (we suggest 20–30 pieces).
3. Once the charcoal has been lit, remove the grates from the grill and pull the chimney handle to dump coals into the bottom basket of the grill.

4. The silver rotating handle on the front of the grill will raise the charcoal rack up and down depending on your need for heat.

5. For airflow control, dampers can be found on either side of the grill (black handles), and the smoke exhaust also has airflow control.
